Dr. Rahul Sharma, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Penn State University, followed by a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University, an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida-Jacksonville, and a specialized structural heart disease fellowship at the Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute in Seattle, Washington. Before joining Cardiac Solutions in April 2021 to help expand cardiac services in the Phoenix metro area, he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Assistant Director of the Structural Heart Center at Carilion Clinic.

Specializing in structural heart and valve disease, Dr. Sharma performs advanced, minimally invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary stenting, TAVR, MitraClip repair, WATCHMAN implantation, and PFO/ASD closures. In addition to delivering compassionate, guidelines-based patient care, he is a procedural proctor who trains other physicians, serves on the national SCAI Structural Heart Disease Council, contributes to cardiology editorial boards, and participates in pivotal clinical trials.

Always seems in a hurry. Unfortunately that extends to his explanations of med changes and physiological insights. If he's got quotas- I suspect that he's making them.
