Always caring, patient, thorough. Note to new patients! Expect waiting room time of about 2 hrs or more after appointment hour. Been that way for 30 yrs. You want the best? You often must wait and be patient. He does not rush. He does interventions on the spot. Takes emergencies if his patient surgeries. Be patient. BTW. I would not recommend any other Drs in this practice. Just Dr Deshmukh. He will NOT operate unless needed or you get better quality of life. He will be frank and objective. Wish he had his own practice. Staff was very professional and cooperative. His PA is excellent.

All staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. I was thoroughly impressed. I would have given my experience a 5, if it was not a 2 hr wait. However I'm glad I waited.

Dr. Rahul Deshmukh is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, advanced arthroscopy, minimally invasive joint replacement and trauma. Dr. Deshmukh received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. During his time there, he served as the assistant physician for the Boston Celtics. As a Jacksonville native, Dr. Deshmukh is proud to bring his expertise as a nationally recognized orthopedic surgeon to his local community. He is the current Chief of Orthopedics and Director of Orthopedic Center of Excellence for St. Vincent’s Southside. He also serves as the team physician for the Jacksonville Icemen hockey team.
When he’s not in the office he enjoys many outdoor activities including windsurfing, skydiving, water skiing, sailing, and scuba diving. He also loves to travel the world and learn new languages; he’s currently proficient in Spanish, French, Marathi, and Hindi.
