Dr Peña is knowledgeable and prepared. I have no doubt he has been my best choice in a cardiologist. I would give 5 stars however I experienced problems getting my procedure scheduled. I had informed the staff that I had a new primary care physician and I provided my updated insurance card with the PCP’s name on it. After over 30 days waiting for an appointment for my procedure I called only to be told there was no authorization on file. When I asked if my new PCP had been contacted I was told to wait a couple more weeks. When the authorization was finally received I was told the only person who schedules procedures was out of work for the next week. The doctor had ordered the procedure on 12/12/25. I finally had the procedure on 3/30/26.
