A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Mercer received both her bachelor’s degree in biology and her medical degree from Texas Tech University. Dr. Mercer completed a one-year internship in internal medicine and a three-year residency in ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Mercer completed her formal medical training with a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Mercer is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

My appointment was for 10:40…I was there @ 10:30am. I left the faculty @ @12:15pm. I understand she was busy, this was very unacceptable. Dr. Mercer was with for about 15-20 the max.
