Dr. Rachel L. Medbery is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She received her medical degree from Emory University where she graduated cum laude. Upon graduation, she continued her general surgery residency training at Emory University followed by a fellowship in thoracic surgery. In 2019, she moved to Austin and joined Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons.
Dr. Medbery is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in general thoracic surgery. Her clinical areas of interest include minimally invasive thoracic surgery, lung, and esophageal cancer, benign esophageal disease, diaphragm and chest wall disorders.
