R. Scotty Libby, M.D.

Dr. Robert Scott “Scotty” Libby, M.D. recently joined Urology of Greater Atlanta. Dr. Libby treats all urologic disorders and specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery for prostate, bladder and kidney cancer, BPH as well as men’s health including Peyronie’s disease, hormone replacement and prosthetic surgery for erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

Dr. Libby was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Georgia. After college, he realized his passion for medicine. He completed a Masters of Science in Biology at Georgia State University. He received an MD/MPH from Tulane University School of Medicine where he met his wife, Katie, who is now a practicing vascular surgeon. After medical school, Dr. Libby completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He served as chief resident during his final year of training. He has authored multiple publications related to prostate cancer and presented his findings at many national conferences. After residency, Dr. Libby joined his father and partners at Urology of Greater Atlanta.

Aside from urology, he enjoys playing golf, tennis, hiking, and fishing. Dr. Libby and his wife, Katie, reside in Decatur, GA with their two dogs.
