He was very well to help me understand and said and show what the x ray ment also answer all my granddaughter questions. He was very good at his job in handed in the way he was supposed to. I only wish he still did the operation for my knee as I felt very good about him and his knowledge.

I recently saw Dr. Ellis for a tendon in my wrist. My visit was too notch care! Dr Ellis took the time to listen, throughly explained what I needed to do, and even wrote out clear instructions for me. His personal and attentive approach is rare, and I truly appreciated it. He is one of the nicest doctors I’ve seen, and I left feeling informed and confident about my care. Highly recommend!

A second-generation physician, Dr. Ellis joined Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics in 1983, continuing the legacy of his father, Dr. Ellis, Sr., the practice’s founder.
Since joining, Dr. Ellis has served as a team physician for the University of Louisville and, since 2001, as the Head Team Orthopaedic Physician for the University of Louisville men's basketball team. In addition, he has contributed as a clinical instructor for the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, mentoring future generations of orthopedic surgeons.
Dr. Ellis is a member of professional organizations such as the Greater Louisville Medical Society, the Kentucky Medical Association, and the Kentucky Orthopaedic Society. He earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Louisville, completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati, and further specialized in sports medicine with fellowship training at the University of Oklahoma.
