Dr. R. Bruce Lutz, M.D., earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University and completed his residency at Naval Hospital, San Diego. He then finished his fellowship in Traumatology at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Dr. Lutz was deployed with the Marines to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. He served as the Battalion Surgeon for the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton and received the Naval Commendation Medal.

Dr Lutz is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. I’ve been his patient occasionally for 16 yrs. Ten yrs ago his Emergency Orthopedic Experience SAVED MY LIFE !!! After a tree/ ladder accident & 8 days in Paoli Hospital they never found a DVT blood clot.I didn’t like my PH discharge Exam so I went to DR. Lutz who immediately saw the Blood Clot symptoms, ordered an immediate Xray which identified the Clot & sent me back to PH for treatment. He was a US Navy ER orthopedic surgeon when he began his career & as a fellow naval officer I proud to have had him as my Orthopedic surgeon All these years.

I like the fact that everything was on time and Dr. Lutz doesn’t make you feel rushed. He explained my issues fully,answered my questions and offered me advice and options along with his opinions going forward. Will continue to use premier in the future.
