Pujan Dave, MD

Dr. Dave attended Johns Hopkins University for college, where he studied public health/epidemiology. He received the Outstanding Senior Award that is given to fewer than 1% of graduating seniors in the department. He earned his medical degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Maryland Mercy Medical Center. He then joined the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins for ophthalmology residency, consistently ranked as the #1 best overall ophthalmology residency program. Dr. Dave completed an intensive clinical/surgical glaucoma fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute Glaucoma Center of Excellence. He was awarded the Fellow Teaching Award, an honor given to only 1 of 15 Fellows.

While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Dave participated in free vision screening events for those who did not have access to eye care. He has authored textbook chapters regarding glaucoma and published abstracts and research articles in internationally respected journals and has presented his work at regional and international meetings. An active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Glaucoma Society, Dr. Dave stays up to date with the safest and most effective treatments. He is an expert in cataract and glaucoma surgery, including all minimally invasive techniques and new devices. He strives to educate his patients to ensure they understand their condition and agree with their care plan.
