Dr. Priyal Shah is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who focuses on cataract and refractive surgery.
She graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a degree in biochemistry. During college, she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor society as well as the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Chemistry Honor society. She went to medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical school where she graduated in the top quarter of her class and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. While in medical school, she conducted additional research at the University of Pittsburgh studying glaucoma.
After completing her medical internship at Medstar Health Washington Hospital, she attended Geisinger Medical Center for her ophthalmology residency training. During her final year, she was selected to serve as the sole chief resident for the residency program.
She has published numerous manuscripts and presented her work at national conferences. She is an active member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Ophthalmology.

She was absolutely wonderful.
Very diligent and professional care. I went in to check a cyst above my eye, that I was long overdue in getting in for. Dr Shah examined me, gave me options of treatment and utlimately we diecided to remove the cyst. She offered to do it in the same appointment - which I was very appreciate of. Very easy and smooth procedure!
