Dr. Paddar lectured me as he was reading over my last office visit notes. He said to me why didn’t you see a Hematologist? I said, I did not know I was suppose to see one? I said I got no calls to schedule a office visit? He then scolded me again and said that my notes are not for him, but for me to read. That I need to access the patient portal and read them. I agreed. But I do read my notes. He then read more of my patient notes and realized he scolded me for no reason. As he read the notes he had said that at this time he was monitoring my blood labs and if the labs results change that I would then to be referred to a Hematologist. Dr. Paddar did apologize to me. Which I excepted his apology. At 57 years old and having a background as a Medical Secretary and Executive Secretary I am very thorough with my health care. So I can do without the scolding and lecture. Dr.Paddar is generally a very kind doctor. I just don’t think he was having a very good day. I thank him for seeing me.

I always get in quickly and he explains everything in detail so that e can decide on a course of action. He listens to my questions and concerns.

He was incredibly thorough, which was a nice change of pace as doctors usually rush you out of the room. With that being said, he completely dismissed all concerns for physical symptoms that have been progressively worsening for over a year. These symptoms have completely impacted my life, taking me out of work and making everyday tasks difficult. This was supposed to be a step forward in my care, but it was a huge step backwards and has been very upsetting. The last thing someone wants to hear from a medical professional is that their severe physical pain is caused by stress, and a chronic illness will just “go away eventually”. I cannot manage my stress when my illness dictates my life, and those who are supposed to help me do not do their job.
