I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my experience in health care and myself. I have been practicing orthopedics since 1982 and am originally from Fremont. I completed my medical training at the Medical College of Ohio and my orthopedic training at the Stryker Program in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In 1986, I became a partner in what is now known as Ohio Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
As a board-certified physician by the American Board of Orthopaedics, I am committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care for any orthopedic and sports-related condition. Each year I attend several lecture and hands-on orthopedic courses to provide the most up-to-date orthopedic care that is available.
When not practicing medicine, I am involved in numerous community activities and enjoy scouting, swimming, skiing, camping, coaching soccer, and spending time with my wife and four children.
I am committed to you and want you to receive the individualized care that you deserve. Our goal at Ohio Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is to get you well. Get you moving again. I look forward to working with you.

Very competent doctor.
Excellent bedside manner. Explains everything very well. This my right knee. He did the left perfect in every way!
During a scary situation and not knowing the outcome Dr Havens put me at ease. The success of my surgery and him taking the time out of his weekend to perform the surgery means a great deal to me and says exactly what kind of person he is. Thank you Dr Havens
