Impressive knowledgeable kind
The long-prepared trip to Italy was about to begin. The night before our flight, my husband said, "My left eye keeps seeing flashes of white light." I jokingly replied, "That’s Milan calling you." Jokes aside, I knew the white light could be a sign of retinal detachment. I quickly searched online for a doctor, and secured an 11:30 AM appointment with Dr. Philip Ferrone. We arrived early at 11:00 AM, went through various tests. The doctor said, "There’s slight bleeding in the retina, and the edges are slightly detached." He immediately took my husband to the operating room and used cryotherapy to reattach the retina. After the surgery, the doctor said, "Here are the names of three retinal specialists in Italy—one in Milan, one in Rome, and one in Bari. They’re all good friends in the field. If you need help in Italy, reach out to them." With gratitude in our hearts. I glanced at my watch—it was 1:30 PM. From stepping into the hospital to leaving, it took just two and a half hours。
