Dr. Philip Borger

Dr. Philip Borger, M.D., believes there is no such thing as a small case. Even a straightforward scar revision, done well, can smooth a distracting line and change a first impression before a single word is spoken. Whether he is performing facial rejuvenation, complex reconstruction, or a quick office procedure, he brings this same careful approach to every patient.

Dr. Borger completed his plastic surgery fellowship at Emory University following general surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, after graduating summa cum laude from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. His training includes cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body, and he has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations.

A lifelong painter, Dr. Borger has spent years studying form, light, and proportion. Through this he has learned patience and restraint, knowing both what to change and, more importantly, when to stop. He brings that same eye to surgery. His aim is never to impose a particular look, but to achieve natural results that fit the person in the mirror.

The son of a nurse and a dentist, Dr. Borger chose medicine because he wanted a career where, even on a difficult day for him, he could still make someone else’s day easier. He was drawn to plastic surgery because it is a specialty where one problem can have many good solutions. That is why every plan begins with listening. His goal is first to find out what a patient hopes to change and why it matters to them, to formulate an approach that fits this, and to help them understand how he got there.

Dr. Borger, his wife Ashley, and their young daughter are glad to call Georgia home. He is honored to join a practice that has served and earned the trust of this community for decades, and looks forward to continuing to build those same strong relationships that Advanced Aesthetics is known for.
