Doctor did not care much for the issues I was experiencing and was on a rush to get me out of the office. I felt so frustrated, I’ve been dealing with my issues for over 6 months and even after surgery I’m still in pain

Great first visit. The doctor was prompt, attentive, analytical and focused all while not compromising bedside manner. The office was very busy but highly efficient and organized, each staff member knowing precisely how to maximize her or his role in the most efficient manner. My first visit for elbow pain I had x-rays (in-house), spoke to a nurse, and Dr. Lopez performed a physical examination of my arm/elbow. He prescribed medication to attack the inflammation, provided two types of braces (sleeve/strap compression), and set me up with physical therapy, and follow up appointment, all in this first appointment when I was expecting three separate appointments to accomplish the same tasks. Well done!
Dr. Peter Lopez is a board certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of orthopedic surgery. He was born and raised in New York City and attended City University of New York at Queens College, where he received his undergraduate degree. His surgical internship was at Columbia University, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Lopez practices general orthopedic surgery and has a particular interest in hand and upper extremity conditions, including fractures, nerve problems, torn tendons, and cartilage injuries. Dr. Lopez’s philosophy is to avoid surgery except as a last resort – instead using other nonsurgical treatments such as injections. He also uses other types of injections for conditions like Dupuytren’s disease and knee arthritis. For conditions such as Carpal Tunnel, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Thumb Basal joint arthritis surgery, Tennis Elbow, and Rotator Cuff problems, he uses arthroscopic surgery or small incision techniques.
He is a member of multiple medical organizations, including the American Academy of orthopedic surgeons, the Florida Medical Association, American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Lopez enjoys participating in endurance sports such as triathlons and marathons. He has run in both the Boston and the New York City Marathons and competed in several Triathlons. He enjoys spending time with his family traveling, biking, running, and swimming in his spare time.
