Dr Lopez is an excellent Doctor. However the staff needs an education on how to talk to patients, when someone walks through that door, they are there for a reason, in some sort of discomfort or pain, being kind and polite is usually very helpful. When the staff puts a patient in the room no one ever verifies name or date of birth, I’m Iusually put in a room the door closes, no hello how are you. I was in the medical field all of my career was trained to be polite. This is my experience on every visit to FOI I usual get the same three ladies. I have worked with FOI some years back, I’m not sure how people with such personality and scrubs with food stains are put in such positions. To be honest this usually is a reflection on management!

Dr. Was great. Office staff extremely difficult to work with. Getting through to staff members impossible. Follow up calls as promised. Nonexistent.
Having said all that. VIcky @ ext. 7365
Wonderful!!! She should be running the entire office. She is a asset to the organization.

Dr. Peter Lopez is a board certified orthopedic surgeon by the American Board of orthopedic surgery. He was born and raised in New York City and attended City University of New York at Queens College, where he received his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut and is an avid Husky fan. His surgical internship was at Columbia University, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Loma Linda University in California.
Dr. Lopez practices general orthopedic surgery and has a particular interest in hand and upper extremity conditions, including fractures, nerve problems, torn tendons, and cartilage injuries. Dr. Lopez’s philosophy is to avoid surgery except as a last resort – instead using other nonsurgical treatments such as injections. He also uses other types of injections for conditions like Dupuytren’s disease and knee arthritis. For conditions such as Carpal Tunnel, Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Thumb Basal joint arthritis surgery, Tennis Elbow, and Rotator Cuff problems, he uses arthroscopic surgery or small incision techniques.
He is a member of multiple medical organizations, including the American Academy of orthopedic surgeons, the Florida Medical Association, American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Lopez enjoys participating in endurance sports such as triathlons and marathons. He has run in both the Boston and the New York City Marathons and competed in several Triathlons. He enjoys spending time with his family traveling, biking, running, and swimming in his spare time.
