Dr Syre may have actually saved my life. I was devastated by my dwindling mobility; when I met him for the pre-surgical consultation, I was using a walker to keep from falling. Since my cervical disc replacement, I have not only been able to feel and walk unassisted, I’ve been able to dance and skip for joy again. I never thought I would be able to bounce back so quickly.
I would absolutely trust him to work on my spine again, although I sincerely hope he doesn’t have to.

I’m so fortunate to have found a physician I feel 100% confident in. I know my situation, he explained how he could help, left the timeline of surgery up to me and explained the procedure would be beneficial.

Everything was great except at the end he said sit tight we'll be right back with you and I sat there for 45 minutes until it was quitting time and they finally told me I could go home. I wasn't real crazy about that bs.
Oh well I guess stuff happens.

While in medical school, he became fascinated with the intricacies of the nervous system and the complex bioengineering involved in the anatomy of the brain and the spine. Dr. Syre feels the precise nature of neurosurgery is a very rewarding practice. Dr. Syre completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania where he pursued further fellowship training in the treatment of spinal disorders. He has a great interest in spinal scoliosis, spinal trauma, and tumors of the spine in addition to the breadth of neurosurgical diseases.
He believes that the key to exemplary neurosurgical treatment is patient centered care where each treatment is individualized and each patient is treated as a person, not a disease. With this mindset, patients can have the best outcomes possible and both he and his patients can accomplish their ultimate goal, regaining their life.
When not at work Dr. Syre loves to spend time with his wife and children, exploring and hiking all of the parks Colorado has to offer and riding his bike.
