Dr. Peter Maurus is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in the foot and ankle. Dr. Maurus began practicing at Steindler Orthopedic Clinic in January 2007.
After graduating from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Maurus went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery under Roger A. Mann, M.D., in Oakland, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maurus enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with his family, painting, and watching college football.

Always goes above and beyond for his patients.
He was prompt and efficient. He clearly described the problem and possible treatment avenues. The work flow was flawless. I was xrayed, treated, dispensed an orthotic and discharged within 30 minutes.
I feel like he is always in a hurry.

Dr Mary’s: Listens Explains Positive and reassuring Dr Mary’s took action to see if another doctor had time to evaluate the arthritis in my thumbs. I left Steindler feeling well taken care of. I appreciate Dr. Marus, Steindler and staff.
