After graduating from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Maurus went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery under Roger A. Mann, M.D., in Oakland, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maurus enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with his family, painting, and watching college football.

Great doctor, professional, and caring, although in a rush

He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me a preliminary diagnosis with a plan to follow up and reassess as needed. He is also the kindest and friendliest doctor I have ever dealt with.
Explained upcoming surgery very clearly with diagram. Easy to talk to.
He was a in rush. Didn't ask if I had any questions. Didn't provide after post op equipment. Said I could return to work but no restrictions on what can and can't be done. He was in and out under five minutes.
