After graduating from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Maurus went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery under Roger A. Mann, M.D., in Oakland, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maurus enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with his family, painting, and watching college football.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He took the time to thoroughly explain all of my options, what each option would look like, and what I could expect moving forward. I never felt rushed or like decisions were being made for me. What I appreciated most was that he included me in the decision-making process and really listened to my concerns and what was important to me. He made sure I understood everything before we decided on the next steps. After everything I’ve been through with my injury, having a doctor who takes the time to listen, explain, and work with me made a huge difference. I’m very grateful I got a second opinion with him and feel confident about the plan we’ve made moving forward. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about their patients and involves them in their own care.
Very knowledgeable and ordered a MRI asap. PCI forgot to order my MRI and never followed up. Look forward to working with your establishment as I get older.
