Dr. Peter Maurus is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in the foot and ankle. Dr. Maurus began practicing at Steindler Orthopedic Clinic in January 2007.
After graduating from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Maurus went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery under Roger A. Mann, M.D., in Oakland, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maurus enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with his family, painting, and watching college football.

My surgery went well. I wish I could have spoken with him myself but he did speak to my husband. I would have asked more questions about what to what for.

Recommended by a friend: Good energy, confident, to the point. And the fastest I’ve ever been scheduled for a surgery!
This visit was for a second opinion regarding my left ankle. I had previously had my med records from u of I along with my Ct scan/xrays forwarded to maurus but he admitted to not looking at them. Was unwilling to offer any significant advice.
