After graduating from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Maurus went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery under Roger A. Mann, M.D., in Oakland, California.
When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Maurus enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with his family, painting, and watching college football.

Dr Maurus listened carefully, answered all my questions, offered suggestions for future treatment and made me feel at ease throughout my visit.
Got me in quickly for an appointment, which I greatly appreciated!
Dr. Maurus repaired an unstable fracture just above my ankle, putting plates and screws in to put it all back together. He and the surgical staff handled my surgery such that I was able to come in, have the procedure and come home, all with minimum, if any discomfort. He monitored my recovery with really pleasant ‘bedside’ manor. I’m well on my way toward full recovery and more than happy with the care that I’ve received.
