He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 and then received his training and Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008 from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Hoang is the clinical director of our dry eye clinic emphasizing in the treatment of dry eyes, blepharitis, and meibomian gland dysfunction. Utilizing the latest technology and diagnostic testing in ocular surface disease, he customizes a specific treatment plan for each individual patient. These treatments include amniotic membrane grafts, high-definition meibography, autologous serum tears, blepharo-exfoliation, and thermal pulsation treatment.
In addition to specializing in dry eye disease, Dr. Hoang also provides comprehensive medical eye care management of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and primary general care. He is also available to manage our ophthalmic emergencies such as ocular injuries, traumas, and eye infections.
Outside of clinic, Peter enjoys all forms of working out, trying new sushi restaurants, and traveling with his wife.
