Dr. Peter Eyvazzadeh first realized he wanted to be an orthopaedic surgeon as a medical student. His orthopaedic surgery rotation was by far and away his favorite. It was one of the few specialties where patients come in with problems that can be fixed with satisfyingly positive results.

“When you want to stay active recreationally or competitively at any point in life, injuries can be a frustrating setback. Taking part in recreational sports myself, as well as high school and collegiate athletics in the past, getting a patient back to enjoying the activities they love is the most gratifying part of my job.”
He enjoys treating knee ligament and meniscus injuries, shoulder tendon and labrum injuries, shoulder arthritis as well as hip impingement injuries. He wants his patients to know that he can relate to his patients more than most.
“I myself have undergone surgical sports procedures in recent years and have had the chance to have the patient experience – going to the office to be evaluated, getting the correct imaging, coordinating a multitude of details around the date of surgery, dealing with any insurance issues, and getting on the path to post-operative rehabilitation.”
Education & Training:
Dr. Eyvazzadeh received his medical degree from Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, completed his orthopaedic surgical training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, did his sports medicine fellowship training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

In his spare time Dr. Eyvazzadeh enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, trail running, biking, playing tennis, and skiing.
If he wasn’t an orthopaedic surgeon, or in the medical field, Dr. Eyvazzadeh would have wanted to be an ornithologist, a person who studies or is an expert on birds
Dr. Eyvazzadeh also speaks Spanish and Assyrian.
