I was not Dr. Rookis patient of record but she quickly worked me in and took care of my urgent needs when my dr. was out of town. She was through and oh so pleasant. She followed up by phone to report my lab results. This whole UCA group is fabulous in my opinion.

I would like to have had more conversation to discuss my individual health concerns. Doctor seemed in a hurry to be done with me. It was my first visit so I expected more talk time.

Didn't get to see Dr. Saw nurse/ practitioner instead.

I went in to have my monthly suprapubic catheter changed and the nurse that did it was verbally abusive. I have never been treated so horribly. The cite was bleeding and she didn’t even put gauze on it. When I asked if she could put paper tape on it she snapped at me in the most horrible tone and said I don’t have any paper tape!!!! I have been going here for almost two years and they have always had at least 3 different sizes of paper tape. She offered some other kind of tape and I politely said that would be fine. She never put the tape on and I left the office with my stomach bleeding. I was in tears leaving the office. The whole experience was humiliating!!!! Dr Rookis is top notch but the nurse could easily play the role of Nurse Ratchet in the movie One Flew Over The Cuckoo Nest!

After struggling more than 2 years to find answers, I finally felt heard by Dr Rookis. A prior doctor (Dr Gunnels)was so dismissive and curt after a tele health visit, that I cried for the first time ever after a doctor visit. In stark contrast, Dr Rookis exuded interest, compassion, asked pertinent questions, and then genuinely listened to my responses. I was impressed and grateful.

I know Dr. Rookis cares about my problem and that she will do everything possible to relieve it.
