Dr. Paul Roettges is a First Coast native and a graduate of the University of Southern California. He received his medical degree from Loyola University. He went on to study Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arizona and completed his fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Roettges performs hip and knee replacements and has additional training and interest in anterior hip replacements, revisions, as well as complex unresolved hip and knee pain.
Dr. Roettges treats all disorders of the hip and knee, including degenerative, traumatic, infectious, and congenital. He specializes in the evaluation of painful or malfunctioning joint replacements to see if revision surgery could improve the function and quality of life for the patient.
Dr. Roettges strives to take time with each patient to thoroughly review their condition, imaging studies and treatment plan. This allows the patient to make the most educated decisions about their medical care that fits their best interests and needs.

Dr. Roettges has a way of outting you at ease while outlining the entire surgical and recovery process.
My appointment was delayed by an hour due to the busyness in the office. I immediately felt at ease when I met. Dr Roettges. He was very professional and explained my situation and took the time to answer my questions. Initially, I was brought into the office by a man named Chris, he was also very compassionate, and I felt very comfortable in this office. This doctor came highly recommended to me by another orthopedic surgeon who is retiring and it’s not able to represent me anymore
Knee replacement almost 2 years ago and still in pain. I wish had gone to a different doctor but to late now.
