Dr. Paul Roettges is a First Coast native and a graduate of the University of Southern California. He received his medical degree from Loyola University. He went on to study Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arizona and completed his fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Roettges performs hip and knee replacements and has additional training and interest in anterior hip replacements, revisions, as well as complex unresolved hip and knee pain.
Dr. Roettges treats all disorders of the hip and knee, including degenerative, traumatic, infectious, and congenital. He specializes in the evaluation of painful or malfunctioning joint replacements to see if revision surgery could improve the function and quality of life for the patient.
Dr. Roettges strives to take time with each patient to thoroughly review their condition, imaging studies and treatment plan. This allows the patient to make the most educated decisions about their medical care that fits their best interests and needs.

First time at this new facility, check in was easy, X-rays was a breeze and the time spent with Dr Roettges went well as he explained the results of the new knee x-rays. I’m On track and will see him in one year.
Dr Roettges is a great communicator. Takes the time to explain the problem and what needs to be done and this will be my second hip replacement by him and I'm not at all concerned because the last one went so well
