I really like Doctor Roettges and I trust him. he and his team are technically very good at what they do. The incision from my TKR is beautiful. Because he uses robotics it’s a smaller incision than many of the others that I’ve seen. No staples. No retention sutures. No drains. No complications. Orthopaedic surgery is very uncomfortable for the first few weeks. That’s unavoidable. His team is very responsive. They are approachable. I feel very fortunate to have had access to this group for my

Dr Roettges finally acknowledged the pain I am experiencing a year after my knee replacement is due (“possibly”) to patella abrasion. Although he insisted the patella was reshaped during surgery, it appears on X-ray (objectively) and in my experience (subjectively) to not be functioning properly. He discounted any remedy other than more surgery which is often “not successful” in relieving the pain. This was not the outcome I was expecting and was never explained as a potential complication. Although my mobility is much improved after this surgery and year-long recovery, I did not expect to continue to have the same pain and discomfort as I had before it.
