Dr. Pagano is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a sub-specialty in Spine Surgery.
Dr. Pagano received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1991 and received his medical degree at the Ohio State University in 1995. Dr. Pagano completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2000.
Following his residency, Dr. Pagano performed a two-part Orthopaedic Spine fellowship with Dr. Richard Holt in Louisville, Kentucky and the late Dr. Thomas Whitecloud at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Pagano continues to use his engineering background as an active medical consultant holding patents in the field of spine surgery. He has also been an instructor in minimally invasive spinal surgery.
Dr. Pagano is a native of the Youngstown, Ohio where he practiced for 13 years until relocating to the St. Petersburg area with his family in 2013.

He Is the The best doctor that I have ever had. He speaks softly, but carries a big stick. He is the best surgeon that there is. He’s kind and gentle and always tells you just where things stand and what to expect. I like that honesty and a doctor he doesn’t lie and say it’s not gonna hurt he tells you it’s gonna hurt but you’ll be feeling much better. Once the surgery heals. I have full trust in him and I know that he will always do his best for me as I heal he kind and sweet and soft spoken so he takes the fear out of my head he’s the best surgeon I’ve ever had not just surgeon the best doctor that I’ve ever had and I know he’ll do an excellent job this time again I know I can expect the very best from him he can make miracles happen and that’s why he’s my doctor
Very impressive doctor, however I would have preferred a more detailed explanation of my MRI Also more details on types of pain injection treatments recommended
