My primary care doctor referred me to him. I am happy that he doesn't automatically say you need surgery. He gives you alternatives, i.e. non invasive treatments such as physical therapy. Surgery is the last resort. I did have trigger finger surgery earlier this year and it was a big improvement.

Late to Appointment. Didnt explained the XRay of what they have taken. I think if you dont have complication and go for minor treatment, most of the doctors take as coffee break.

Dr. Mahoney takes his time to explain everything and gives me all of the options and includes me in the decision making progress regarding my care. I very much appreciated that. It’s relatively easy to get an appointment in a timely manner. The only downside really is the wait time once you’re there. I sat in a room for an hour waiting for him- but, the upside of that is you know he’s taking the time with you/his other patients. I just wish there was a way to be notified prior to your appointment that he’s running behind so I wouldn’t miss as much work.

I very much like Dr. Mahoney and as my Dr 5 stars are warranted. However, I feel as though my time is not valued. I am a professional in my industry and I would never leave someone waiting over an hour past their appointment in a room, or anywhere for that matter. If I hadn’t already had to wait over a month to get an appointment and I wasn’t in pain I would’ve left and that’s the issue, they know we we will continue to wait. It’s rude and very unprofessional. Especially considering if I were to have been running even a few minutes late my appointment would’ve been canceled and I would’ve been charged a fee. Maybe implement something where patients are notified via text/call that he is running behind and how far - I could have gotten another 45 minutes of my work completed instead of wasting the time staring at the wall.

I was very pleased with my initial new patient appointment with Dr. Mahoney and his staff today. After waiting over a year I’m severe pain due to the pandemic and other health issues keeping me home-bound, I was beside myself with frustration and severe pain and symptoms that had not yet been addressed adequately. Dr. Mahoney scheduler is so sweet and was able to get me in within 7 days of my referral being sent to them. They called me! Most my referrals are sent out and I have to track them down to get an appointment set up. Then usually information is missing needed to set it up and now have to “work for the practice” and call around to pass along and gather information for my charts. Not here! At the appointment I had 1 form to fill out… Not 15, only 1. His medical assistant was compassionate pleasant, and thorough. They did several images isi h X-ray right there and I was seen in 10 minutes with a set plan for treatment same day! Couldn’t be happier with them so far!

Dr. Mahoney explained the reason for my wrist pain and he listened to my speculation on how the tendon got inflamed. He presented all the options to me plus his recommendations. He also let me try a couple of remedies short term to see if the problem goes away. If not, then I can call back and have Dr. Mahoney perform the procedure to relieve this problem.

I had Dr. Mahoney a few yrs ago for hand surgery.

Appointment was a complete waste. Was looking for something to immobilize my broken hand and provide protection. When his suggested splint caused more pain, I was sent home with nothing.
