Returning home to Metro Detroit has always been his goal and he is excited to serve his community as well as teach residents in his former residency program. He lives in Brighton with his wife Rachel and their two Golden Retrievers. He is passionate about personal fitness, golf, fishing, and vinyl records. Every year he and his father go to the Northern Minnesota wilderness (Boundary Waters) on an off-the-grid canoe voyage to fish for walleye and lake trout.

My hip replacement went so well. The whole process was great and I’m very happy with the results!
Very personable and knowledgeable. I also did not feel rushed when asking questions.
Dr. Knapp was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I have my cat scan on June 11 and will be scheduling my surgery soon.
Dr. Knapp was highly recommended by my Primary Doctor. I was a candidate for the anterior hip replacement procedure and Dr. Knapp was always transparent, explained everything in clear details; therefore I understood the information provided to make the best choice for my situation. He didn’t rush me and his top priority was that I be comfortable with making a decision on my time. I was scared about the thought of replacement surgery but after a year of shots and visiting with him I felt confident and safe when I finally decided it was time to get it done. I had my left hip replaced in September of 2025 and was walking in a few weeks without support and full recovery w/ physical therapy in 8 weeks. Had my right replacement 6 months later in March 2026 and full recovery w/ physical therapy in 6 weeks. I got my life back with had minimum pain (off pain med in 1 1/2 weeks after ea. surgery). I’m excited and happy and Thankful for Dr. Knapp and the MCOrthopedic Team.
