Patrick Smith, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Smith treats musculoskeletal conditions resulting from injury, overuse, and arthritis. He has a special interest in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, knee and shoulder reconstruction, shoulder replacement surgery, and treating athletes and patients of all ages.
He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He then completed his Orthopaedic training at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, followed by his fellowship training back in Memphis at the Campbell Clinic.
Dr. Smith currently serves as a team Orthopaedic physician for the Tampa Bay Rays. He has previously been a team physician for the National Basketball Association’s Memphis Grizzlies, University of Memphis, World Wrestling Entertainment, the NBA G-League’s Memphis Hustle, and the Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express.

I’ve had three surgeries with Dr. Pat. He is the best. He will definitely get recommendations from me to my friends.
He is great know just were to put the shot in my shoulder.
Felt tge appointment was rushed and wasn't allowed time to ask questions about the rush for an MRi when i had already had multiple MRIs. I referred to a back surgeon and appointments were made during times I already had other appointments.
Dr. Smith is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
