My visit was routine. Dr. Matoole is very low key. He doesn’t build you up. He doesn’t say things are good—he says they aren’t bad.

Probably the most detailed examination I’ve had. He spent a good 45 minutes on my initial exam. Asked myself and my mother more than once what questions & concerns we had; as well as what he could do to make things better. Matoole is a very to the point doctor and professional.

Unfortunately, today’s visit was one of the most upsetting medical appointments I have experienced. While I was trying to explain my symptoms and ask questions, Dr. Matoole repeatedly rolled his eyes, sighed at me, and was dismissive of my concerns. I did not feel that he was listening to me or genuinely trying to explain what could be causing the ongoing problems or reconcile findings that have been documented elsewhere. What concerned me most, however, was his physical interaction with me. During the visit, he put his hand on my shoulder forcefully and shoved/pushed me. Regardless of frustration or disagreement during an appointment, I do not believe a physician should ever physically handle a patient that way. I was shocked and extremely uncomfortable.
