Palashkumar Jaiswal, MD

Dr. Palashkumar Jaiswal, M.D. joined Wichita Falls Gastroenterology Associates in July 2021. Dr. Jaiswal earned his medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India., completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Chicago, IL and then completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. When asked why he chose gastroenterology, Dr. Jaiswal said “I absolutely love the science and helping people feel better. It gives me an opportunity to treat life threatening emergencies in the hospital and improve the quality of life in the clinic and ambulatory surgery center. As a gastroenterologist, I can prevent colon cancer from developing into a life-threatening disease.” Dr. Jaiswal tries to put himself in his patients’ shoes when they describe their symptoms and issues with the ultimate goal of getting to the source of their symptoms in order to resolve them.

Dr. Jaiswal enjoys hiking and biking, exploring different restaurants and cuisines, and spending time with his wife as they travel and explore new places. Dr. Jaiswal is also committed to a program in rural India that provides nourishment to millions of school kids through a “mid-day meal” program.
