Dr. Noel Camba, M.D., earned his medical degree at his qualifying institution, and completed his residency in cardiovascular medicine. He then finished his fellowship in interventional cardiology training at Northwestern University. A board-certified cardiologist with Heart Care Centers of Illinois, Dr. Camba specializes in transesophageal echocardiography, intravascular imaging, and pacemaker implantation. Dr. Noel Camba, M.D., is an Interventional Cardiologist with Heart Care Centers of Illinois.
He has been practicing cardiology in the Chicagoland area since 1993.
Starting in 1998, he was one of the first cardiologists performing radial (wrist) approach cardiac catheterizations and percutaneous interventions, and was involved in the initial training of many cardiologists in the area.
His interests include the latest techniques and advances in procedures relating to interventional cardiology, including intravascular ultrasound and intra cardiac imaging.
One of Dr. Camba's other passionate interests is Women and Heart Disease. He was part of the groundbreaking Women Take Heart Program and has published from that database. “The number one killer of women is heart disease, and proper identification, prevention and individualized management is my main goal”. In addition, he has over 26 years of experience in the cardiac care of the obstetrical patient, including many of the pregnancy related cardiac issues.
His other interests include implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators. He is currently certified as a Device Specialist by the International Board of Heart Rhythm examiners and has implanted over 1000 devices. In addition, Dr. Camba has interests in
Preventive Cardiology, heart failure, and lipid management.
Dr. Camba received his training in Interventional Cardiology at Northwestern University, where he was also trained in transesophageal echocardiography.
He is also Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr Camba is fluent in Spanish, but he also speaks French, Portuguese, and some Italian and Russian.
