Very kind, Dr. Tambay took his time explaining the procedure to me. Even when I experienced some discomfort during it, he took time to explain.

Without so much as a notebook in front of him I was informed I need 6 weeks of PT before I will be eligible for an MRI- With no grip left in my hand , forearm numbness and X-rays that show a slipped disc he deigned to give my grip a resistance test. At that point he rescinded previous test orders and allowed I may have a nerve conduction tests and MRI.

Dr. was poor communicator as to this steriod, it's risks, etc much less what he was doing while repeatedly poking me with needles to find where he would make injection. Really? Not until I asked how long this was going to continue, did reply. Then he finally announced he was ready to inject the medicine! More orchestra! Done. I had to ask about any restrictions for today n future. Then the Dr was helpful in giving me some medical advice, tho he seemed hurried as we spoke in hallway and wanted to move on. Busy day...patients too tightly scheduled? This Dr needs work on patient courtesy and better educational/communication skills. Most concerning to me was this page of statements re: care, discussion of procedure, risks, post-instructions, etc that the nurse/assistant gave me to read and sign. None of the statements had been done...but they will be.. yet I was to sign off??? At best this action is unethical and may even have some legal overtones!
