Dr. Nina Rivera, M.D., is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with certification in lactation. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Connecticut. After teaching English in our New Haven community, she turned to medicine. She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has received the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Award, Cleveland Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Mortimer Highest CREOG Award, and University of Connecticut Lyman Stowe Award.
Born and raised in Hartford, she enthusiastically returned to Connecticut to join the physician team at Generations OB/GYN in 2020. She provides full-scope Obstetric and Gynecologic health care. Her special interests include adolescent gynecology, lactation medicine, patient-centered pregnancy care, family planning, PCOS and menopause management.
