My 6yo son is very anxious and wouldn’t cooperate reading the chart with tape on the lens of his glasses. I’m not sure why other methods weren’t attempted like using the machine to block out one eye to only use the vision in the other eye instead of tape on his glasses. Children’s specialist should be trained to work with kiddos that have severe anxiety - alternate methods, etc. Now, we have to go back and do this again (and another copay) and that’s likely not going to bode well unless we change the tactics.

We love Dr. Storey! She's always so charming and welcoming to my son. He's been going there for years and regardless of his age at the time of visit, she's always interacted with him at his age level. Truly an amazing doctor.

Dr. Storey is thorough and patient with our daughter. She always makes sure we understand what is going on and that we agree on a plan for care going forward. We appreciate and have enjoyed every interaction with her.

Dr. Storey was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I was anxious and asked lots of questions. She didn’t make me feel bad for asking and understood my concerns. She alleviated my anxiety and treated us kindly. I appreciated that she took the time to answer all of my questions. She was extremely personable and didn’t rush me or seem irritated at the time it took to go through the exam and questions.

She was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Society and also recognized for her academic and clinical achievement in pediatric optometry. Dr. Storey’s passion for pediatrics developed early in her education out of the time she spent with her mentor at Boston Children’s Hospital. She completed her clinical training with honors at the Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Health Care System, Naval Health Clinic New England, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. At Bascom Palmer, Dr. Storey focused primarily on pediatrics and gained experience with aphakia, contact lenses, strabismus, and amblyopia.
Dr. Storey received her Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston, graduating Cum Laude. She grew up in Clinton, a small town in Central New York, where most of her childhood was spent at her family’s horse farm. Outside of work, Dr. Storey enjoys spending time outdoors and riding her horse.
