Dr. Gonzaba is careful that he really allows you to feel that he is “seeing” you
“Hearing” you and this helps you to trust His advice and care information. He treats a patient completely & thoroughly. Even though time available to see Him personally, is short, we never feel rushed or that things were not discussed or felt our priorities were not paid attention to.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and his Doctor of Medicine, with Distinction in Research, from the University of Texas Health at San Antonio (UTHSA). He completed his Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine Residency at UTHSA and at the University Health System and Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital.
Practicing medicine was always Dr. Morton-Gonzaba’s goal and passion. He has a fascination for biology, human anatomy, and physiology but more importantly, Dr. Morton-Gonzaba has a passion for helping others. He finds philosophy and the human condition the most fascinating aspects of practicing medicine.
Dr. Morton-Gonzaba specializes in Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine, with a special interest in point-of-care ultrasonography in the clinical setting. Dr. Morton-Gonzaba joined Gonzaba Medical Group in 2023. Aside from working he loves playing the piano, learning new skills, working out, and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants.
