Dr. Capito listens. Not all doctors do. I love his gentle demeanor, but mostly I love the great job he did with my shoulder replacement!

Dr. Capito is very good at his profession and a good human being. God certainly placed me into his care for a shoulder surgery. I have tattoos where he had to make the incisions and the first thing he mentioned when seeing them he stated that he was going to take his time to make them blend with the tattoo. He thinks above and beyond his normal scope. Also, when it came to my first day of PT/OT it went awesome and range of motion was drastically above normal. I was going to the PT/OT prior to surgery and even the PT’s and OT’s at Benchmark PT mentioned that their patients from Dr. Capito have a quicker recovery and less pain.

Dr. Capito is the BEST! 8 weeks after shoulder surgery, I am very pleased. Dr. Capito listens, responds compassionately, recommends any needed meds helpful for inflammation during the PT sessions. He’s a skilled surgeon who cares and meets with his patients during the healing process. I’d recommend him to my family and friends (a high compliment).

Dr. Capito is the BEST. After several shoulder surgeries my husband was still in pain. It took Dr. Capito to perform one more to take care of the problem. Now I’m going to him for my shoulder. He is down to earth and so easy to talk to. I don’t think I need to say he really knows shoulders!!

He specializes in the newest advances in arthroscopic surgery for tendon repair and instability, fracture management, nerve decompression, and total joint replacement of shoulder and elbow. Dr. Capito and his wife were raised in Augusta, and he feels fortunate to give back to this incredible city and surrounding areas.
