“When I was 15, my single mother had to have her knee replacement redone and I was allowed to get my drivers license early so I could drive her to her doctor appointments. It was at that time that I knew medicine, and in particular Orthopedics, was my calling. I wanted to understand why her first knee replacement failed and what could be done to prevent it. I’ve always had a passion for building and tinkering with things and using my hands, so throughout my medical training, Orthopedics was a natural fit. For me, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a patient who could barely move due to hip or knee pain, walking the morning after surgery! Like most of my patients, I enjoy staying active and being outdoors. Cycling, hiking, skiing, triathlons, and traveling keep me plenty busy outside of medicine!”

Personable, listens well, shows a genuine concern for my knee issue, very thorough. Only wish my wife had been able to meet him with her serious knee issues. I believe he could and would have helped her instead of the poor ortho doctors she saw in Southern California. Dr Dirig said when your wife is ready have her come see me.

The best orthopedist I’ve ever met. All the doctors at swift, especially Dr Dirig and Dr. Card Extremely professional and talented doctors and surgeons. That’s not common in the healthcare field these days so it’s always much appreciated that they are so personable and professional, patient and take the time to explain everything thoroughly.
