Dr Midis is great at his job and his bed side manner is amazing

I am a repeat patient of Dr Midas who performed foot surgery on me before. I was impressed with his knowledge of my problem as well as the procedure to correct the issue. I had great success with that surgery. He has a great bedside manner as we seniors call it. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions to assure I would feel very comfortable having the needed surgery. So I came right back to him with the current problem I am now having. He explained what was the issue and how we can get it resolved. Over the years out of all the doctors I have encountered he ranks as a definite 10. The best.

I specifically sought out the Jordan Young institute for my Achilles surgery and was assigned to Dr. Midis’ team. From the very first interaction I was very comfortable and confident that I would not find better care. I would highly recommend Dr. Midas he’s very professional kind and so is his nurse practitioner very understanding about processes like my vision is an issue and trying to explain to him that I can’t use a walker like normal people. I’ve had two reconstructive foot surgeries from him. Dr. Midas is an amazing doctor! His knowledge of the foot is unsurpassed. With 26 bones, 30 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons & ligaments going to someone who specializes in the foot is essential and Dr. Midas knows every one of them! No only is he professional he is kind and compassionate. He truly cares for his patients. He reattached my achilles tendon to my heel and I have never had any issues with his work. The physical therapist is amazed at the range of motion that I have with this repair.

only one issue. i was given a ankle sock type thing. the guy brought in 2 gel socks, only gave me one, since prblem is with one foot. said cost was $35 not covered by insurance. when i came home i loooked up the socks online…cost was between $15 - 20 for a PAIR. so i paid double for only ONE SOCK. not too happy about that. at least i should be able to come in and pick up the second sock for when i wash the one highly expensive one i received. please help. i understand you have costs to cover…but double price for one sock…come on!!!

Everything goes very smooth and I was treated very nice

I was looking forward to going to the JYI based upon many recommendations (for various specialities). I've dealt with nearly a year of chronic foot pain and received no answers from other podiatrists. I was at the JYI for over 2 hours and left with no answers or information. I waited in the general waiting room for 30 minutes past my appointment time, and waited in the patient room multiple times (the last time being over 45 minutes). Both providers I saw didn't seem to listen to the information I provided and neither asked more than a question or two. Neither wrote anything down. Both seemed completely stumped and didn't try to clarify anything (not surprising since neither actually listened or talked to me). Checkout took over 15 minutes. There were no clear signs when entering the building. Check in was all digital (which I like), but the system was very slow. I was very disappointed with the entire visit. I would never recommend this practice to anyone based off my experience.
