Dr. Alsikafi is a 1997 graduate of the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Following medical school, he was a resident in urology at the University of Chicago and completed his chief resident year in 2003. Afterward, he was accepted for a prestigious fellowship in urologic trauma and reconstruction at the University of California San Francisco. There he served as Clinical Instructor and has authored many publications on Urologic health. Afterward, he joined the faculty at the University of Chicago as Clinical Associate and was an attending urologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago.
In 2006 he was recruited to move his urologic trauma and reconstructive practice to the Loyola University Health System, where he currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor. He is the founder of the Chicago Center for Urologic Reconstruction and Trauma. In late 2006 he joined the practice of Urology Specialists of Lake County/UroPartners, and in 2015 he moved his entire reconstruction practice to UroPartners.
Dr. Alsikafi is board certified in adult and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urological Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of many honorary and academic medical societies. He served as president and secretary of Trauma and Urologic Reconstruction Network of Surgeons (TURNS), a multi-institutional network of fellowship-trained reconstructive urologists throughout the United States who coordinate studies for urologic reconstruction (www.turnsresearch.org). He was also elected to the Board of the Chicago Urologic Society.
In addition, Dr. Alsikafi has a very busy general urologic practice. In addition to taking care of patients with kidney stones, enlarged prostate, and urologic cancers, he was one of the first physicians in Northern Lake County to perform robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic sacrocolpopexy, Interstim sacral neuromodulator, and the Urolift device.
Dr. Alsikafi is also frequently asked to contribute as an Expert Witness, and an IME examiner, as well as assist in other legal matters.
Dr. Alsikafi presently resides in Lake County with his wife and five children.

Dr. Alsikafi, is an amazing physician. He has done surgery on me twice in the best word that describes him is amazing. He is kind, so caring, and very professional. I would highly recommend him to everyone.
Great Doctors
Despite having an uncomfortable procedure, Dr A and staff were great. All my questions were answered and they made me as comfortable as possible.
Dr Asikafi was personable and knowledgeable. He took the time to ask me the right questions and explain what was going on with me. He told me the steps he was going to take to treat me and explained everything clearly and concisely. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Alsikafi was very professional. I felt that I being heard and he a great understanding of what I have going through these past few months.
Dr A is amazing. He takes the patient into his complete and total care. I even got a call from him at about 7:00 on a Sunday morning in reference to a phone call I made into the answering service. Dr A is a good doctor and a very good man.
I am very happy with the care what I received. Dr Alsikafi is professional, kind and made my kidney stone procedure and stent removal much easier then I expected.
