Neil Sample, O.D.

Dr. Neil B. Sample, a native of Honaker, Virginia, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Missouri with a Doctorate in Optometry. He earned a BS degree from Emory and Henry College in 2005. His training in Optometry included externships at Optometric Center, St. Louis, Missouri; University Eye Center; Scott Air Force Base and Washington University Eye Center. Dr. Sample is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. He is licensed in Virginia and specializes in general optometry for adults and children and treatment of ocular disease. He has a special interest in hard-to-fit and medically necessary contact lenses and fits a wide variety of lenses from soft to scleral RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) contact lenses. He sees patients in both our Marion and Abingdon offices. Outside of work, Dr. Sample is an avid runner and participates in marathons around our region.
