Dr. Nathan Jia, M.D., recently joined the team at Advanced Orthopedic Center and specializes in Sports Medicine. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Then he went on to complete his Residency at New York University Langone Health in Orthopedic Surgery. He finally went on to complete his fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine, in Jackson Mississippi.

Dr. Jia provides both surgical and non-surgical care for patients of all ages and activity levels. While he has specialized training in treating athletes, he also focuses on helping individuals with shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee pain, whether caused by sports, work, or everyday wear and tear. His approach emphasizes restoring mobility and function for everyone from competitive athletes to “everyday athletes” looking to stay active and pain-free.
Outside of work, he enjoys watching football and basketball and has a creative interest in videography. He is also fluent in Mandarin. Dr. Jia will be seeing patients at both our Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte office locations.
