Dr. Nathan B. Haile is a joint replacement specialist, who joined Texas Orthopedic Specialists in 2019. A Texas native, Dr. Haile attended Texas A&M University, where he was a football letterman and a member of the storied 12th Man Kick-off Team. He earned Academic All-Big XII honors and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Following his undergraduate studies, he spent 2 years as a coach and high school teacher. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center-School of Medicine in San Antonio and graduated as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
Following medical school, he completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. During his residency, he was involved in research on hip replacement surgery and hip fracture surgery. He developed a deep interest in joint replacement and went on to obtain additional training through his fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Haile is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Haile subspecializes in revision joint replacement as well as primary joint replacement, including direct anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted total knee replacement, and robotic-assisted partial knee replacement.

Dr. Haile cares and delivers. He is the first doctor in four States who diagnosed the issue and then fixed the problem. Thank you Drm Haile.
Great physician! He did a partial replacement on my right knee.Recovery protocol was thorough. He never pushed for me to have surgery just educated me. My quality of life is a hundred times better. No pain and am able to do anything I want. Great experience from pre to post op.
I fell and have terrible pain in both knees but he did nothing. I've had one injections in the past and he just blew me off and did absolutely nothing for me. I'm sure I'll get a huge bill though ! And now I'll have to suffer driving across the country with the pain... which I've already tried ice and pain killers for. He basically said nothing he can do for me. There's more issues than what shows on xray. What a waste of time.
Wow! Very impressed. He did his best at trying to communicate with us in Spanish. He explained everything in a clear manner and he was very caring.
Wonderful doctor! I appreciate his expertise in knee replacements. I went for my 1 year visit on right knee and 6 months on the left knee. Answered my concerns and provided advice on, surprise to me, a hip issue. Thank you Dr. Haile.

I am a new patient and have only seen Dr Haile twice. We are very different people and that makes for a perfect future relationship. I make decisions based on feelings and he makes educated logical decisions. He makes me feel calm since I’m am concerned about my future need for surgery but I think in time and a few more visits I will be prepared for the surgery and will have a positive outcome. I appreciate Dr Hailes professionalism and calm manner.
I went to Dr. Haile today to have left knee looked at for knee replacement's. I had right knee replacement a year ago. Thank you Dr. Haile and staff!
