Dr. Mussie Kassa Gebremedihn, M.D., affectionately know to staff and patients as Dr Kassa, received his medical degree from Jimma University School of Medicine in Ethiopia. After medical school, he earned a Master of Public Health at Umea University International School of Public Health in Sweden.
He completed his internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. During his training at Jacobi Medical Center, the department of Internal Medicine recognized him with the best medical resident in ambulatory care services and most humanistic resident awards. Subsequently, he continued his fellowship in cardiology and graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr Gebremedihn is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.

Love mussien but I needed my warfarin prescription to be filled because I recently had open heart aortic valve replacement I told them I was out and they told me come in instead of giving me an emergency prescription So I come in see them on Friday and my prescription still does not make it to the pharmacy correctly so now 3 more days I will not have this medicine that I need to take everyday to avoid a heart damaging blood clot … just don’t feel sense of urgency was there regarding my long term health
Dr. Kassa is knowledgeable and kind. He takes his time to explain medical jargon in way that is easy to understand. He cares about his patients and it shows.
