Dr. Moulaye Haidara, M.D., specializes in cataract, glaucoma, and refractive surgery by using the most advanced technologies available. Dr. Haidara joined the surgical team at Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas in December 2018. He comes to Kleiman Evangelista from Eyesight and Surgery Associates in Springfield Massachusetts. After experiencing first-hand, the devastating results of preventable blindness in sub-Saharan Africa, he made it a lifelong goal to help restore vision to those who need it most, from America to West Africa.
Dr. Haidara graduated from Howard University summa cum laude, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine while obtaining his Medical Degree. He completed his medical internship in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
In his free time, he spends time with his family, hanging out with friends, playing soccer, traveling the world, and volunteering in the community.
