A native of Nebraska, Dr. Thomsen earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She earned her doctorate of optometry degree from the Pacific University College of Optometry in 2023. During her optometric education, Dr. Thomsen completed externships at Eye Care Group of Southern Oregon in Grants Pass, Oregon, Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Tacoma, Washington and IHS Bethel in Bethel, Alaska. After completing optometry school, Dr. Thomsen spent an additional year completing a residency in ocular disease at the Providence VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Thomsen is licensed for the practice of optometry by the state examining boards of Iowa and Nebraska. She is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

She is awesome! Very nice, friendly and explained everything so I could understand.
We had to call her on a Sunday. She was prompt in returning our call, was VERY accommodating and gave us options to seek assistance-including coming to the clinic. She pulled into the parking lot as soon as we did, greeted our Dad at the vehicle and assisted us in getting. She was thorough, confident, professional and very kind. Outstanding experience!!

Dr. Morgan was great! Very personable and caring. She explained my problem and treatment thoroughly, along with potential complications. Her assistant/tech was also very helpful and informative.
Dr. Thomsen is very detailed and explains what she is doing with her instruments to guide her to a proper diagnosis. I have been seeing her for years. You are in good hands with her team as well. I have recommended this Dr to friends.
