Our hour together was pretty intense. At one point she told me there was zero chance my neck nodules were not cancer despite a very recent core biopsy finding no evidence of malignancy. She said if I take a progressive approach to treatment to avoid chemo with limited radiation I would die. Period. This was our first meeting. Do I want another Dr.? No. Feels good to get our preliminary head butting out of the way. I deeply respect her. I will help her with her listening skills. 🫶

Even with the uncomfortable situation of it being about cancer, Dr. Fenton put my husband, daughter-in-law and ME at ease with her kind, soft words of comfort and her genuine honesty we believed

She completed her residency at Wayne State University in Detroit and her Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to joining Atlanta Cancer Care, Dr. Fenton practiced at West Cancer Center in Memphis and most recently at UPMC Hillman Center in Pittsburgh, where she also contributed to clinical trial enrollment and served as a teaching faculty member for hematology-oncology fellows and residents. Dr. Fenton has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Pittsburgh from 2021 through 2025. She joins Atlanta Cancer Care’s Cumming office with a commitment to delivering thorough, individualized care to every patient she sees.
Dr. Fenton has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for a multitude of cancer clinical trials and is dedicated to creating innovative studies for the advancement of Oncology and Hematology care.
