Dr. Miro Ukraincik, MD, FAAP

Dr. Miro Ukraincik, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician who provides care for children and families in Jackson, Lakewood, and Howell. He earned his medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in Croatia after completing his undergraduate studies at the Pedagogical and Educational Center in Zagreb. Dr. Ukraincik completed his pediatric residency training at both the Rebro Clinical Center in Zagreb and Long Island Jewish Medical Center (Schneider Children’s Hospital) in New York.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Ukraincik has a special interest in infectious disease and is deeply committed to supporting children’s mental and physical health through every stage of growth. He believes that effective pediatric care begins with listening—both to children and to their parents—to help families make informed, confident decisions about their child’s wellbeing.

Originally from Zagreb, Croatia, Dr. Ukraincik travels back frequently to visit family and friends and also spends time in Israel, where he has strong personal ties. He and his wife, a writer, have three sons. Outside the office, Dr. Ukraincik enjoys history, art, travel, reading, and home improvement projects. He often reflects on his approach to medicine, saying that “pediatrics is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in a family’s overall wellbeing, from regular care to the bumps and bruises that are an inevitable part of growing up.”
