Dr. Minon Mitchell received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University. She has been practicing in Colorado Springs since graduating in 2000. Her optometry school externships included the Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox and the Eye Institute of Utah which concentrated on ocular disease and refractive surgery. She specializes in primary care and welcomes patients of all ages. Her services also include fitting contact lenses and treatment and management of ocular disease.
She loves to travel and has participated in mission trips providing glasses to patients without access to eye care in other countries. She and her husband, Shawn, enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, Scuba diving, and taking road trips with their cat, Conan.
