Dr. Michelle Picon, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at Georgia Obstetrics and Gynecology in Atlanta and Alpharetta, Georgia. She finds every aspect of her career incredibly fulfilling, from delivering babies to performing surgery and treating a variety of gynecologic conditions. She is also proud to offer all services in Spanish. Although she was raised in Rome, Georgia, Dr. Picon is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico and a native Spanish speaker. She attended Duke University, then moved to Miami, Florida to earn her Medical Degree and Masters of Public Health at the University of Miami. During her time there, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to complete a maternal-child health research project working with adolescent mothers in Cartagena, Colombia. She then completed her residency at Emory University, and practiced in the Atlanta area for a few years before joining Georgia Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Picon spends her free time with her husband, daughter, and their dog Coconut. She enjoys running, swimming, spending time outdoors, and traveling, especially family trips to Puerto Rico.

Dr. Picon is an amazing OB-GYN. When I had to switch insurances, I was so saddened because I thought I wouldn’t be able to see her anymore, but I called and found out she accepted my new insurance. I was so relieved. She is truly the best OB-GYN, and I will only see her. She makes you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. She is never in a rush, always very thorough, and takes her time with every visit. It’s always a pleasure to see her. If you need an OB-GYN, I highly recommend booking with Dr. Picon — you will not be disappointed.

The best doctor
I did not see the doctor, but I saw her nurse Chelsea. What a wonderful young lady. Chelsea had to give me a shot and I didn’t even know when she did it or when she was done. Chelsea’s is my new favorite. I love that office. The front desk is always amazing and the staff is always amazing.
