Dr. Michella Switzer, D.O., FACOG, is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care for women throughout every stage of life. From adolescence and family planning to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause,
and beyond, she is dedicated to helping women achieve their best health through personalized, evidence-based care.
Raised in a family of medical missionaries, Dr. Switzer developed her love for medicine at an early age. As the daughter of missionary parents and a father who served as both a physician and a former military member, she spent much of her childhood in Thailand
after living in Austria during her early years. While accompanying her father on medical missions to remote villages, she witnessed firsthand the impact of quality healthcare and discovered her calling to become a physician.
Dr. Switzer returned to the United States for college, earning a degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Gerontology from Kansas State University. She went on to receive her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. During her
clinical training, she found her passion for women's health. She was drawn to the unique opportunity to combine obstetric care, gynecologic surgery, and lifelong patient relationships within the field of OB/GYN.
She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, before beginning her career as a rural OB/GYN in Great Bend, Kansas. In 2010, she relocated to Arizona and has proudly cared for women and families throughout the Valley
ever since.
Dr. Switzer believes in building strong relationships with her patients and partnering with them to make informed healthcare decisions. She provides comprehensive women's healthcare, including preventive wellness exams, pregnancy care, family planning, contraception
counseling, menopause management, and treatment for a wide range of gynecologic conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Switzer enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, reading, traveling, cooking authentic Thai food, and caring for her three golden retrievers and cat.
