Dr. Michal Szczodry is an orthopedic specialist who graduated from Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, where he was a recipient of numerous awards, including meritbased yearly scholarship. He then moved to the United States and completed research fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Pittsburgh. Later, he entered Orthopaedic Residency at University of Illinois at Chicago where he was elected to serve as administrative chief resident and nominated to American Orthopaedic Association Leadership Forum. Upon graduation from University of Illinois, he completed subspecialty training in spine at world renown Johns Hopkins University. Specifically, during his fellowship, he focused on complex spine disorders and surgical spine reconstruction in adults and children.
Dr. Szczodry, specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatment of spine conditions affecting cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas, including spine deformities, disc degeneration, spinal stenosis, failed spine surgeries, infections and tumors. He continues to be involved in research and attends national and international conferences. Dr. Szczodry holds Assistant Professor title at University of Illinois and serves there as Associate Residency Program Director in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr Szczodry listens carefully to your complaint/ symptoms and clearly explains his diagnosis. He prefers conservative management, not willing to rush a person to surgery.
Very thorough and professional Doctor.
Does not appear rushed during the visit. Uses terms that are easily understood. Ensures all question have been asked and instructions understood before ending the visit.
Dr. Szczodry is very personable and professional. My elderly mother, who speaks polish, felt very comfortable with the doctor.

The best doctor I came across in my 70 years. Very caring and having the patient's well being as the highest priority. Nobody, who will choose Dr Szczodry to be his/her doctor will be disappointed. He his God's sent to all those who lost hope with the medical community. Dr Szczodry is creme de la creme.
