I love my doctor! He’s very friendly and to the point. He talks to me about what’s wrong and how to fix it. I’m not big on medical terminology so he speaks very matter of fact to me, which I very much appreciate. An example would be looking at my Xrays - he held up a good x-ray to show me how it is supposed to look, while pointing to certain areas, then held up my personal X-ray and said notice how mine looks very different, while pointing out certain areas. I agreed with him. He then told me my viable options of fixing/ repairing the damage. He replaced my left hip and I had such a successful outcome that I have now my right hip replacement scheduled next week.

I believe Dr. Pitta gave an expert diagnosis and excellent communication skills.

Great Doctor. Explained all the pros and cons of the surgery. So I will make an informed decision.

My entire health history was not taken into consideration....this makes a difference in prescription recommendations for pain. I have heart problems and "unspecified demylination of the brain" [ie, I am a candidate for stroke]...Celebrex is not a good suggestion for me based on the side effects I read on the internet after my appointment.

His explanation of what was causing my knee problem, as well as his description of the surgical procedures he would use to correct my issue were comprehensive, yet easy to understand. Dr. Pitta did both a hip and a knee replacement for me over the last year. He has always been straightforward, approachable and quick. Both surgeries went as expected with no snafus. I did have a surface infection with my hip (no fault of his) and he addressed it quickly. As with any surgery there is quite a recovery process. He was clear with expectations about my part, which was very helpful. If you have joint pain, get it checked. If you need surgery, get it done. Life is so much better now, with big thanks to Dr. Pitta, as well as Kendra’s team in Physical Therapy.

Filling in history on pad was very exhausting for patient who was in lower back/hip pain. Doctor left visit with no clear instructions & left room without stating visit was over. Both my knees have been bone to bone for years, causing me terrible pain & quality of life. The Dr I had did nothing to advocate for me. Unfortunately I was a “victim” of Workmans comp & most doctors don’t care to work with them, because their board of decision makers DENY, DENY, DENY medical treatment & they are awful with timely payments too! I was recommended to Dr Pitta by THREE other doctors I admire & trust. Not only did Dr Pitta accept my case, but he went to bat for me, determined & ready to get me the knee replacements I desperately needed. I was bone to bone & overall miserable. Long story short… he did it!!! I had my first knee replacement 2/15/2023. I am doing phenomenally better! Riding my bike, doing grocery shopping ( which I could not do!) went to see him today to get the process going for my other knee. He was professional, upbeat & GENUINELY Caring. Wow! Dr. Michael Z. Pitta impressed my husband and I so much! I went in with 2 pages of questions about my hip replacement surgery. Soon after introductions, he did an examination of my limited movements and my hip area, he proceeded to thoroughly speak about what to expect for my surgery, going over exactly what I had on my questionnaire! He hit almost every point of my concern. He is great with his patients, taking time to explain each concern. Just from my first consultation with him, I am more relaxed, feeling very positive about the procedure, and truly looking forward to my surgery! I recommend Dr. Pitta highly. He was suggested to me by someone who works at M S & J. He did her hip surgery, plus her friend's. He was also my primary care doctor's mother in law's surgeon. All had wonderful surgical outcomes.
